By installing, using, redistributing or copying this software or parts of it, you accept the following

ArchaeoInfo 2.0 has been developed by Torsten Madsen, Institute of Anthropology, Archaeology and Linguistics, University of Aarhus. This author, who has the sole rights of ArchaeoInfo, hereby grants the right of use of ArchaeoInfo under the following conditions:

 

Permission to copy ArchaeoInfo, to redistribute it, and to use it for any purpose is granted, subject to the following restrictions and understandings:   

 

RIGHT TO USE:

ArchaeoInfo is licensed free of charge for any use.

ArchaeoInfo can only be redistributed for free or as part of a free, non-profit software. Any copy made of ArchaeoInfo must cover the complete package, especially this license in full.

The use of ArchaeoInfo must be properly referenced in publications, if it has played a part in the analysis of the data presented in the publications.

 

RIGHT TO MAKE CHANGES TO THE SOFTWARE:

The user is permitted to make changes to the software under the following conditions:

The name of the software must remain ArchaeoInfo

The original Copyright information must remain as an integrated part of the program, clearly visible.

Changes should be documented and made explicitly clear on redistribution.

Changes should be made available for the author of ArchaeoInfo for potential inclusion in the officially distributed version of the program.

 

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY:

The user expressly acknowledges and agrees that use of ArchaeoInfo is at the sole risk of the user.

ArchaeoInfo and its related documentation are provided "as-is". The author of ArchaeoInfo makes no warranty or representation, either expressed or implied, for ArchaeoInfo, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

The author of ArchaeoInfo does not warrant that ArchaeoInfo will meet the user's requirements, or that the operation of ArchaeoInfo will run error-free, or that defects in ArchaeoInfo will be corrected. The entire risk as to the functioning, faultless operation, quality, performance and effect on hardware or other software of ArchaeoInfo is with the user. Should ArchaeoInfo prove defective, the user assumes the cost of all necessary servicing and repair of correction.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:

Under no circumstances, including negligence or misuse, unless required by applicable law, shall the author of ArchaeoInfo be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of or inability to use ArchaeoInfo, even if the author of ArchaeoInfo has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Specifically, the author of ArchaeoInfo is not responsible for any costs including, but not limited to, those incurred as a result of lost profits, revenue or other economic loss, loss of use of the product, loss of data, the costs of recovering such software or data, the cost of substitute software or data, claims by third parties or for other similar costs.

 

DISCLAIMER OF SUPPORT:

The author of ArchaeoInfo is under no obligation to provide any services, by way of maintenance, consultation, update, or otherwise. The user recognises that ArchaeoInfo is released on a non-exclusive basis and the author of ArchaeoInfo shall have the exclusive right to grant licenses to others or to make such other use of ArchaeoInfo as he shall desire.

 

EFFECTIVENESS AND TERMINATION:

This license is taking effect after using, installing, copying or redistributing ArchaeoInfo by the user. By using, installing, copying or redistributing ArchaeoInfo, the user accepts and agrees to become bound by all terms of this license. The license is effective until terminated. The user may terminate this license at any time by destroying all components of ArchaeoInfo and all copies thereof. This license will terminate immediately without notice from the author of ArchaeoInfo if the user fails to comply with any provision of this license. Upon termination, the licensee must destroy all components of ArchaeoInfo, related documentations and all copies thereof.
